Bought this watch for myself - a grown woman - as I wanted something small and lightweight. It fits perfectly and has a long enough band to fit most adults. The pale pink color blends away with my skin and it's barely noticeable (which is what I wanted!). Functionality is great -- backlight, alarm, timing function and countdown timer. Beeps aren't too loud and it's easy to turn off all sound. Overall, a great watch for the money!

I purchased this watch in Feb and i like to have it for awhile before reveiwing it kinda like a road test and all i can say is WOW ive owned several watches and none of this quality just so you know this is a big watch (which i was looking for)if you dont like big look elsewhere durability is outstanding this watch is invincible and i am rough on a watch i got this for a steal (89.99) as opposed to the 495.00 retail value.
I am hooked on Invicta and wont buy anything else from here on in. Hope this helps future shoppers,also wish Amazon would get them back in stock as i would purchase another one for my son as well. Keep up the good work Invicta love this watch.

I purchased the Timex 3 months ago. Is my second one and so far I like it.I had no problems in the water I do lap swim weekly (previous reviews were describing problems). Truth is the screen went foggy few days ago when we went in a WARM swimming pool with kids- but it cleared in 30 min after we went out of water. I love the different alarms set (I run 10 min and walk 1 min) so if I am unfamiliar with the trail I know when to run and when to stop. Otherwise looks OK, I hope the band will resist longer - as previous rating were describing a problems with the band- as it has a metallic attachment to the watch so I hope will be sturdy. Since I got it in sale for 35$ - I feel pretty happy with the purchase, but time will say more. On the bad site the numbers are difficult to read - they are long but very thin. I will rate only 4 stars.

I just got mine today and its a nice, simple, elegant,looking watch. This is my third watch I buy in the past 6 years I think and they have all been Casio. I give it 4 stars because it does not come with the instructions on how to adjust the band and it can be frustrating.

STEP ONE: Get a Pushpin
STEP TWO: You will find an arrow pointing out on the removable parts of the band on the inside side.
STEP Three: Put the point of the pushpin on the tiny hole going right from the arrow about 2-3 mm.
Step Four: Inside the tiny hole there will be a dot, move the pushpin point to the opposite direction of the arrow so it falls on the deepest part of the tiny hole.
Step Five: Keeping the point in the deepest part push the dot towards the arrow's direction and a small tiny piece will come out. You may change the angle of the pushpin to make it easier.
Step Six: Repeat this process on another part so you can get the segment you need out.
Step Seven: To put it back together simply connect the two segments together and insert the tiny metal piece that you took out.

This is my first Tag Aquaracer, and I decided to go with the recently introduced 500 Meter version because of its unique look that really stands apart in the crowded Submariner watch field. This watch departs from the all-too-common Submariner homage in several ways, with its molded rubber screw-down bezel and date window at 9 o'clock instead of 3 o'clock.

This watch is big and heavy but just oozes testosterone! My wrists are about 7.25 inches, so it doesn't look too big on me, although it is the biggest watch I have owned so the large diameter takes some getting used to. The diameter is 43 mm; the height about 12 mm, which is about 1 mm thinner than the automatic version, I think. The watch seems to wear smaller than its large size would suggest, however, and it doesn't feel heavy on the wrist.

I decided to go with the quartz version (although I prefer an auto) mainly due to the 0 price difference, and also I wanted a solid caseback instead of the see-through crystal caseback. The solid caseback is really cool, with the engraved diver helmet.

The detail and quality on the watch is superb, and I think Tag Heuer, despite the superstar hype and over-marketing, provides about the best quality watch for the money out there. I also considered Marcello C, Debaufre and the older versions of the Tag Aquaracer but ultimately decided on this one for the reasons described above. I very nearly purchased the Archimede Sport Taucher (Diver), but I thought the Tag looked more elegant, and not to metion the fact that it would be very difficult to service the Archimede in the US. (Archimede is only available direct from their website in Germany). I may consider an Archimede Arcadia dress watch in the future, though - they look very classie, yet simple.

Amazon's customer service is excellent. I ordered this watch with 2-day shipping (a surcharge) and received it in less than 48 hours. It does not come with Tag Heuer's international warranty card, but instead with Amazon's 2-year warranty.... if you buy direct from Amazon. Watch the fine print carefully on that. Also, Amazon often provides 6 months interest-free financing on Tags, again, if Amazon is selling the watch directly.

Finally, don't worry.... This watch is a bonafide Tag Heuer, so don't be worried about authenticity!

This watch is awesome. Stylish, rugged and has all the necessary bells & whistles. Has world timer, 5 different alarm settings (do you really need to set 5 daily alarms?), countdown timer, stopwatch, and can store up to 25 phone numbers. I uploaded a correct photo of this model. See last pic with "notes" written below. The "Baby-G" logo is in white and not red as the other photos show. The stylish rod accents do not hinder the display. However, I had to wear reading glasses to read the tiny manual. The rods are encased in some type of rubber/resin material and are in place to prevent face from being damaged if you hit the watch against something. Pretty cool idea on Casio's part. The band is comfortable and I wear this watch outside when bicycling/tennis. The plastic band and watch case are made from shiny material which looks stylish. Great watch for the money. Matter of fact, now I want the Baby-G Ladies Reef watch.

I purchased this watch from JustCalculators through Amazon. Vendor responded promptly, adjusted the bracelet free of charge and the watch arrived as promised. The watch is accurate to + or - 8 secs per day. Fine for an automatic mechanical movement. Everything on the watch is right. The bezel lines up correctly when moved, hands line up with minute and hour markers correctly, etc. Size is just right for a 7" wrist. Nice Jubilee style bracelet you will want to replace with a nylon or rubber one for diving. You can't beat the quality and price for an ISO scuba watch. Alot of the oriental junk ("Desk Divers") found on the internet will not chin the bar if you actually dive. Many of them may be facially appealling, but not really depth rated. Also, the 013 does not pretend to be a copy of the Submariner. It is similar but the style stands on its own and the reputation of Seiko for building a good dive watch for 40+ years. If you want the larger version get the SKX 007. After 2+ weeks, the movement is now accurate to -4.5 secs per day.

How to Use a Tachymeter
A tachymeter is an instrument for measuring speed. It is a chronograph with a graduated dial on which speed can be read off in kilometers per hour based on 1000 meters distance. For example, the chronograph indicates that the distance of one kilometer has been covered in 30 seconds. The corresponding point on the tachymeter scale indicates 120, and thus the speed is 120km per hour.

To me, personally, the Casio G-Shock and Baby-G's are immediately recognizable and iconic. Casio has an amazing reputation for building quality watches that are reliable and attractive.I chose this watch for the color and it is quite the attention getter. I've had it for about two months now and I'm the type of girl that sometimes forgets and takes the watch into the shower or wears it to sleep. That said, the watch shows some wear on the edges of the face and has some discoloration on the strap (particularly the sliding band). I find I have to clean the dirty that gets caught in the nooks and crannies every so often but the color is still bright and that's what I love the most.

I've owned this watch since 2003, bought at retail. I flipped when I saw it, because it's my favorite style-the traditional scuba style with the flat face and arrow hands in a true midsize. Back then, I was wary of wearing a full sized diver because I'm a guy with pretty small wrists. What's unique about this watch is the fat chrome type edging around the markers and hands. There's also a crome edge(actually stainless steel) around the black bezel. Definitely a contemporary flair that stands out.(I knew a guy from work who had almost the same watch and I always admired it.He had worn the heck out of it for 8 years-it was also a Citizen.) Super solid crystal. High polish stainless steel case. Hands and markers glow a beautiful turquoise. However, they don't seem nearly as bright as those on my Citizen BN0000-04H. They may have faded after years of sun exposure, or may just not be the same type of lume. Nonetheless, when I come in from outside, they still glow pretty well. (If I fall asleep with it on, there's no problem reading the time if I wake up hours later in a dark room.) The crown is small, but I've never had a problem changing the time, date, or screwing it down.Battery change is a reality for this quartz model, although the store I bought it at gives me free lifetime replacement. Which reminds me-so far the battery has died once. I noticed the second hand jumping at two second intervals beforehand which is the low battery warning so I can tell you that feature really works. I own four Citizens and they're all Promasters. I can't comment on Citizen's dressier styles, but these Promasters are built like tanks. I clean them by lathering then up with soap and water in the sink. Easy! If this style is for you, buy without reservation.

My life is very unusual and it is hard to schedule my day and night life. So I was looking for a cheap watch to help me with my low fat diet and I eat every 3 hours. If I miss the 3 hour mark, then I become ravenous and will ruin my diet. My cell phone battery randomly loses its charge and I could not rely on it to remind me when to eat. Hence, I needed a cheap 3 hour countdown timer and this watch fit the description.

I would have given 5 stars except the alarm is so faint that I don't notice it if the radio/TV is too loud or I am talking on the phone. Also the crystal has a tendency to catch many reflections and has been scratched twice in 3 days. Other than those pitfalls, it is a great looking watch that does what I need, remind me EXACTLY when I need to eat to maximize my really slow metabolism.

About Orient: Orient Watch was formally established in July 13th, 1950 in Tokyo. However, the history of Orient Watch really dates back to 1901, when Shogoro Yoshida, the founder of Orient, opened a wholesale watch store in Ueno, Japan. Orient Watch has always focused on mechanical watches, primarily automatic watches with its own in-house automatic movements Orient was once part of the "Big Three" watch companies in Japan along with Citizen and Seiko. In the 70s, when mechanical watch companies faced hardship from the mass introduction of inexpensive quartz watches, Citizen and Seiko took the path of mass producing quartz watches, Orient stuck with what it did best, making mechanical watches. This is a good, practical watch for everyday wear. The watch face is a good size - small enough that it looks feminine, but not too small that you can't read the time easily with a quick glance. The watch has a small slot on the face, which shows the day of the month, which is pretty handy. The indiglo function is very bright, at least on the watch that I got - I sometimes use it to find my keys in my purse when its dark. The band of the watch is leather, of good quality, and very comfortable. I've had the watch for about two months now and I wear it every day. Aside from a few scuffs on the metal casing of the watch (I don't treat this watch gently), it looks just as it did the day that I bought it. For the price, it's an excellent watch and I would highly recommend it.

I just heard about tritium luminescence and was curious. The price was right so I bought it and it arrived in a couple of days. I like it a lot. I have to get up early and I can read this watch easily in total darkness. It's nice and light and is easy to read the date and it has the military 24 hour numerals as well as the standard ones. The white hands are easy to read in the daylight. Just a nice clean watch. I would recommend it. I do wish the band was waterproof so I could wear it in the shower but it has leather components and I'm afraid it will ruin the band if I do so that's why only 4 stars.

This is a typical G-Shock...except it is orange. It is a great boating watch due to the color. If it happens to become dislodged from your wrist and fall overboard, it is clearly visible to recover. It has all the same functions and versatility of most Casio G-Shock watches. The watch is fairly thick so it is not as comfortable as a thin dress watch...but you didn't buy it for dress, you bought it for function and visibility. This specific watch comes in blue, black, and red, in addition to orange. The G-Shock line of Casio's are virtually indestructable. It makes a very good watch for outdoor activities. I boat, swim, ski, dive, get it muddy and sandy, and shower in the watch. If it has any negatives it would be the backlight illumination is just a little weak and the watch is bulky, so it catches on ski vests or other clothing.

It comes with the watch and the receiver that plugs into the iPod. I used this with both my 2004 iPod mini, and my 2009 iPod Touch.
Both work.
Things you need to know: When you first press any of the buttons on the watch you'll think you broke it. They click IN, then
never pop out again. All the buttons do this the first time you press on them. After that, you don't feel any click when you press.
The reaction time for the iPod is about 0.5 seconds.
The buttons are small, but you can still work them with your gloves ON.
Once you plug in the receiver for this watch, you can only control volume from the watch.
With the receiver plugged in, you will loose volume control on the iPod itself, and can only hear sound with with headphones plugged in. If you unplug the headphones, the sound will not play through the iPod internal speakers.
You can still move through your play lists, and play/Pause (on the actual iPod).
The iPod will light up it's display every time you use the remote.
The controls you get are: Play/Pause, Next song, Last Song, UP/Down Volume (on the watch).
You will need to select your play list before you throw your iPod in your backpack, and zip it up.
I've had it for over a week, and no issues yet.
It's a much cheaper and better option to the Apple TU016ZM/A Nike + iPod WatchRemote, which is + MORE for the Apple MA365LL/D Nike+ iPod Sport Kit that plugs into you iPod.

Much nicer than the pic even. It has the sapphlex crystal, so it's scratch proof, keeps excellent time. Much better than the automatic Seiko's which are legendary, but let's face it people, quartz is simply better than the best automatic movement - and the 7s26 of the Seiko automatics certainly doesn't qualify or belong in the same sentence as "best automatic movement". Those typically run 10 - 20 seconds fast per day. I've owned the automatics and sold them. Not this Seiko. This Seiko is about 2 seconds fast per month. Which would you run a railroad with? This is a true divers watch, it is rated to 200 meters in depth and has great lume on the hands. The dial is not as bright as blue as the pics make out. It is more of a midnight blue, but does have the metallic look to it. The bezel is tight and smooth and matches up perfectly with 12:00. Highly recommended.

I'm a high-end watch collector and wanted something to wear when on trips when dressed casually. This watch is built like a tank. It's also extremely heavy - almost too heavy. You may be able to increase your bicep size lifting this daily.

The crystal is NOT made of saphire like higher-end watches so it does scratch easily. The quartz movement is NOT Swiss so I'm a little suspect as to how it will hold-up with time. The watch DOES keep time well and, after one month of usage, has not lost more than one second.

While I have not taken this into a pool or the ocean, it does hold its own in the shower. No signs of water leakage. I would not recommend using this in the ocean anyway. You probably want to invest in an Omega Seamaster for heavy ocean usage.

This is a handsome watch and can work with black and brown as both colors are present on the face. The steel band looks amazing and is solid.

I would suggest wearing this on a casual weekend day paired with a casual shirt and jeans. The watch looks funny when paired with a suit or other standard "office attire."

I purchased on an Amazon daily special for USD. I would certainly not pay more for the watch, but this seems worth the paid.

Invicta Men's 5850 Russian Diver Collection Black Rubber and Steel Watch Review

Absolutely incredible.

I cannot think of two better words to describe this watch. I was skeptical because a lot of people rambled on about how big these watches are, and I only own one other Invicta, which has performed flawlessly, but was considerably less than 200$.

I have been wearing a Casio PAG40-3V, which has a listed case size of 53mm. This watch has a case size of 52mm. The reason they appear so large is because of the band. The face of the watch is no larger than the Casio Pathfinder I wear to work everyday.

The build quality and fit and finish of this watch is unbelievable for the price. When I opened the box I literally missed a breath. I just sat and stared at it for several minutes before I dared to start removing the plastic. This watch is visually stunning.

I have watches of all caliber, from Omega and Breitling to Timex. No watch that I own has had the effect that this one did when I first opened the box. The sheer size of the dial and the chrome markings on the sky blue color is simply amazing.

I've only had the watch about a week or so, as such I am unable to comment on the longevity of the movement, however, Amazon gives a free 5 year extension of Invicta's warranty, and I am confident I won't need it. The watch is not nearly as heavy as you would think, actually, it's quite un-heavy for it's size.

PLEASE - I urge you - if you were like me and have been debating about buying one of these because you are afraid of the size, just go for it. You will not regret it. I have a 7" wrist, and it fits me fine. The face is large, yes, but it's not ridiculous. My Casio is still bigger on the face. Due to the length of the case though, the band of this watch does look large on my wrists, but by no means silly. It just looks like a big watch.

The band is the same resin/rubber stuff that all my Seiko Diver's are made of, and the buckle seems to be well made. The GMT hand (For those who are not inclined or unfamiliar) is the red hand. It is NOT a second hand. It will not move but 2-3 "seconds" on the dial every hour, thats because it's showing you the time on the 24 hour scale on the edge of the dial.

Several people in other reviews have stated they got their watch and that the "second hand moves slowly" or "not at all".

It's not a second hand.

Pure and simple - if this watch caught your eye like it did mine. Take the plunge, so to speak. This Russian Diver is worth every penny and I would pay it over again. (Which I now plan to do because there are several RD models that I have fallen in love with the pictures of.)

Perhaps I haven't been clear, I'll summarize.

I am the proud owner of Omega, Tag, Breitling and a Rolex, several Seiko's and Citizens, a couple Swiss Legends, some Zodiacs, and several Casio's and Timex's.

This watch just earned top spot on my wrist and it's time to bust out the automatic watch winder because some of my old go-to watches are about to see some closet time.

Orient Men's CFM00001B Power Reserve Semi-Skeleton Black Automatic Watch Review

The Orient brand has a great reputation among watch fans and it deserves to be a more widely known brand to the public at large. This watch, commonly called "Planet Orient" due to its resemblance to an Omega design called "Planet Ocean", is meant to be a sporty though stylish watch, less of a beater than the entry level Makos, but more attractive and unique.

In truth, the Planet nickname is not really that accurate a measure of the model's appearance. The Orient model includes a very different graphic style and different complications than the Omega Planet Ocean series, and the Orient also sells for about 5% of the price of those Swiss watches. The Omega of course is made of higher quality materials, uses the revolutionary co-axial escapement, has the COSC certification (explained later), and retains a significant part of its value over time.

The Orient is about the same size as the bigger Omega Planet Oceans (that is, 46 mm) and in some cases uses an orange bezel and highlights on the face as some models of the Omega do, but these are slight similarities. I will use the nickname "Planet" throughout the review for convenience, as compared to say "CFM00001B", but for better or worse, be aware that you are not buying a watch that would pass for an Omega Planet Ocean unless in the eyes of the most unobservant admirer.

Orient is a small Japanese company that is partially owned by Seiko. They've been around for more than 50 years, and their claim to fame is that they are a mechanical watch producer that designs and makes 100% of their movements in-house. The in-house designation is significant as it means the company does more than just buy off the shelf designs but rather is directly involved in creating and tuning the mechanical heart of their product. Rolex is know for their in-house work, but even such costly brands as Omega, TAG Heuer, and Breitling have most of their movements made for them by other companies (ETA for the most part). To have a finely crafted automatic watch in this price range that has been designed and manufactured by the company selling it is rare to say the least. The watches are also hand made, and in Japan as well.

As mentioned this is an automatic watch. The watch cannot be hand wound so you need to shake it to start it, and then it winds itself as you move your arm during the day - no batteries needed. The timekeeping is a tad less precise than a quartz, and for this movement (Orient's 469 series) the manufacturer states you can normally expect to lose up to 15 seconds or gain up to 25 seconds each day. (More on this later.)

Two related points: if you want to keep reasonably accurate time, you need to reset your watch every week or so, and if you are utterly sedentary during the day (i.e. drive to work, sit at a desk, drive home, sit in front of the TV) the watch may not get enough winding to stay working. You hardly need to run a marathon, maybe 15 minutes of walking total throughout the day will probably keep your watch (and yourself!) functioning well. Max power reserve on this model is about 42 hours, which figure is supported by my own tests. (This is the time the watch will take to stop after you take it off when it is fully wound up.)

The watch has a date complication in the form of a circular dial with an indicator hand that points to the date. This dial is found in the 6:00 position on the face. The manual cautions users that the day and date should not be adjusted from the hours of 9 PM to 4 AM as the gears are in the process of slowly rotating both day and date dials in that time frame.

More interestingly, the watch also has a power reserve meter at the 12:00 position on the face that lets you know the number of hours that the watch will run for if you were to take it off and cease charging it. This feature, a useful one, is normally found only on European watches costing 5 to 10 times more than the Planet. The 469 movement is used in many other Orients, and the variant here is called the 46U40, which I believe designates the 469 series with the circular date and power reserve complications.

Minor annoyance for precisonists: the second hand cannot be "hacked" - that is, when you set the time by pulling the crown out, the second hand continues to turn. That means getting an exact time sync is a challenge, as you will be always be fast or slow by however many seconds the third hand is away from 12 o'clock when you push the crown in. Unless you are leading a commando team on a raid, this probably will not be a major issue, but more expensive Swiss movements like those by ETA do offer the hacking feature as do some pricier Seikos. This and the accuracy issue is the biggest negative differences between quartz ownership and owning an automatic.

As to accuracy --- Orient avoids building your hopes up as the manual tells you to expect +25 to -15 seconds of time loss of gain per day. However, over 3 weeks of testing, my Planet keeps time to within +11 seconds per day. This is in the realm of the Seiko 7S26 and Citizen 8215 movements. OK, but my two other Orients, the much cheaper Mako I and the Mako II, which is in the same cost range as the Planet, both keep much better time with what appears to be the same movement. (+5 and -4 seconds per day respectively). These higher levels of accuracy are within the realm of COSC standards (the expensive and prestigious Swiss timekeeping standard that watches that cost twenty or more times as much as the Makos are tested to). The Planet, though, at +11, is off the COSC scale altogether, and this accuracy, though typical of most inexpensive autos, is disappointing when compared to its brethren. This variance may just be examples of the acceptable build quality variation for the movement, or may be related to the somewhat different complications added to this model. You, of course, may get a higher or lower level of accuracy with your own example.

As for durability --- the face and back of the watch are made of mineral crystal, not sapphire. The bracelet is solid filled links, and feels and looks costly. The watch itself is water resistant to 100 meters, and features one screw down crown for time and date setting. The bezel is steel, and turns relatively easily; it is scalloped, not coin-edged (i.e. needs your thumb not your fingernail to turn). The bezel has both a countdown set of numbers as well as a tachymeter. Lume is on the dial numbers, the hour and minute hands, and on the second hand. The 12 o'clock position of the bezel however has no lume on it, unlike the Mako Is or other diver watches.

The lume is highly visible at first, and the face looks striking when the lume is fully charged. But the brightness fades quicker than the NY Knicks' playoff hopes this season, nowhere as good as say the Seiko Monster series, and also worse than the Mako I - Planet's darkness visibility seems to last for maybe 2-3 hours of visible light after sustained exposure to bright light.

Warranty is one year through the manufacturer. Packaging is mundane, the manual supplied was the correct one for once. ( The Orient tradition is to almost always ship the wrong manual with the watch.) As with all autos, the watch will probably need a lube and tune up once every 3-5 years, my estimate.

The watch is attractive and bold in style, and is eye-catching. The band and face look and feel high quality and the design of the face is imaginative and unique. The 46mm size is properly shown in the large expanded FACE of the watch, instead of the large rectangular FRAME of the watch that the face sits in, a stylistic miscue that Orient and some other watch mfgrs commonly make with larger watches. (Take a look at Seiko Kinetic diver to see what I mean.) The hour and minute hands are decent sized swords, and the second hand is a nifty little orange needle. There are Arabic numerals on the face for a few numbers and hash marks for the rest. The watch can look dressy, especially with its black or white faces, and the orange bezel is very striking, though orange may or may not be a color that stands the test of time in men's watch styling.

The neatest thing about this (or any other good automatic) is watching the sweep of the second hand. The watch mainspring beats 6 times per second (21,600 bph), and the second hand has 6 distinct stops between each marked second on the face. This slow majestic sweep is far more elegant that the clunk-ka-chunk precise once per second movement of a quartz analog. The back of the watch is an "exhibition" design, which shows the movement inside. The movement is entertaining to watch for a bit, but it is more of a showpiece and a novelty than anything else.

Upshot: The watch itself is superbly made. Everything feels solid, from the bracelet to the crown to the bezel. There is an Orient logo on the face and on the bracelet that is not problematic due to its subtlety. This doesn't look like its namesake Omega, but the aesthetic is as good or better, and the level of quality is immensely impressive given the price. Most observers will think this watch costs three or more time more than its actual price due to the level of fit and finish realized. is a cheap watch by just looking at it.

All in all, for a dressy though sporty office watch, you can't go wrong with the Planet in one of the more conservative variants. The orange highlighted model may be more of a transient fad, as Omega has arguably overused that color to death for men's sports watches recently. This is not much of a "beater", due to low water resistance and poor lume, but it is reasonably sturdy and handsome, yet also inexpensive enough that if you somehow did damage it, you wouldn't be crying the same tears that you would if you mashed up your ,000 Omega Planet Ocean. You probably would not want to use this as a regular water sport watch, though an occasional dunking would probably be OK as long as you weren't swimming vigorously for an extended period.

The Planet Orient is a handsome watch, superbly made, and all in all, is a fine value. The only downer is that my particular example of the breed is a fairly average timekeeper and does not reach the high points of accuracy set by my other Orients. Still, if you want a unique, attractive, and well made automatic at a fraction of the price charged by the European makers, this is one of your better options.

What fascinates me the most about this multi-eye sports watch is that the make of this model is motivated by Marcus Grönholm. As a former rally car driver, Marcus Grönholm would particularly enjoy the sporty design of this watch. Just notice how the slick design incorporates the ideals of athleticism in the field of watches. There is no doubt in my mind that this watch truly embodies those traits.

One of the more eye-catching features for this collection is the dial numerals located throughout the watch. You will notice that the hour indicators show bold even numerals except for the 6 o’clock indicator. In place of the 6 o’clock hour is a date indicator, which shows all of the days within a month.

Even during the evening, you are able to see the time because the watch numerals are luminescent. Notice how the power reserve indicator is located under the 12 o’clock position. This allows the owner to view the power that is in the spring of the watch. Since this line of watches is self-winding mechanical, the watch naturally stores power for up to 40 hours.

This watch has a unidirectional bezel (ring of the watch). One captivating feature that this watch offers is the tachymeter, which is located on the inner circle of the bezel, which allows you to measure the distance of a target through the rotation of the bezel. The crown (time-setting piece) for this watch comes with shoulders for protection of the crown. Since the watch’s screw-down crown prevents water from entering the case, the watch is water-resistant for up to 100 meters. When looking at the side of the watch, you will see that the Orient logo is stamped on top of the crown.

The band for this watch comes in either stainless steel metal or genuine leather. The metal band has two tapered links on both sides of the dial, followed by untapered links. It also has a combination of matte and finished metal to give a 3-dimensional effect. The clasp for the metal band is a double-locking deployment clasp. Unlike the metal band, the leather band has a deployment clasp. These clasps add extra protection so that the watch does not come off accidentally.

There are a total of 6 different variations to this watch. The watches that come in metal bands come in different dial and bezel colors: black bezel on black dial, orange bezel on black dial, and black bezel on semi-white dial. The leather bands come in either black or brown. The black leather band has an orange bezel on a black dial. The brown leather band has 2 variations: a black bezel on a black dial and a white bezel on a white dial.

I've purchased several Modena Inc brand watch bands over the years, and I've always been terribly pleased with their products. I'm not a fan of most leather watch bands because they seem to wear out fairly quickly with daily use. The Modena rubber bands are just right and are far more durable than any other brand out there. They're simple, look sharp, and terribly comfortable. It depending on the watch I'm wearing them on, it feels like there's nothing on my wrist at all. I really admire the styles they offer. Most are Paneri clones, but it also functions with the overall durability. I've gone through three different leather bands for the Tissot I specifically purchased this band for, and this band has out lived all the others put together. One minor drawback is this specific texture is dust will stick all alond the band. Not a big deal to me, and nothing a damp cloth couldn't remove in a couple seconds. Just be warned if you wanted this band for working outdoors.

The first Swiss watch I bought with my own hard earned money. GREAT value for price, looks and function. Seriously, if you want a watch thats accurate to a couple of seconds to the hour (it will lag by 1/100ths of a second every 10-12 days) this is the watch you want! Savvy shipped it soon enough and I received it brand new (for those doubting the authenticity of the online watch orders..it IS authentic!) You will not find the warranty card stamped however, and would need to go through Savvy for repairs etc. as covered by the warranty period. PROS: looks great. Functions well and you cant go wrong with a watch like this ( I have researched long and kinda know my watches well..) CONS: Not 'on the dot' accurate. And buying this online limits the folks who would want to 'touch' the watch for..well anything, even reducing the no. of links for eg. But, overall I appreciate Savvy for their promptness and I would encourage you to purchase from them for sure (not had issues with the item yet touch-wood...but I see their customer ratings good in the repairs/returns department).
Summary: If you want to get started with buying and collecting good watches (i.e. like me) start with this one!
